Since 2013, Jachtwerf ‘t Joppe has been gradually electrifying Blue Boat Company’s canal boat fleet. The policy of the City of Amsterdam is that all canal boats in the city must be electric by 2025, and ‘Joppe, together with Arka Propulsion Systems, is handling this conversion. By 2025, all 17 canal boats must be converted.
